User Interface

How the game screen is laid out, the sidebar, the taskbar and the main windows – where to find everything and which key opens it.

LegendaMMO has its own dark interface in a forged-iron-and-gold style. Every element is the game's own artwork, and labels are drawn by the game rather than baked into images, so the interface works the same in all eight languages. This page walks you through the screen and the main windows. For a detailed guide to keys and mouse, see Controls.

Esc – close everything at once

A single press of Esc closes every open window (and clears your target). With no window open, it brings up the Menu: Settings, Change character, Log out, Quit, Cancel. The System menu also shows which layer you are in (for example "Layer 2") – the game assigns layers by itself. While you are typing, Esc only ends the typing; in an NPC dialogue it closes the dialogue.

Items in the interface

  • Item tooltip: rarity colour, properties, sockets and a comparison with what you are wearing – see Item Upgrading.
  • Item menu: right-click in your bag; double-click uses an item.
  • Loot on the ground: item names are coloured by type (equipment blue, gold yellow, runes and seal stones orange, quest items, chests and keys green). Hold Alt to highlight the names of all items lying on the ground.
  • Loot and chest preview: the "Loot info" button on the target frame shows what a monster may drop; Ctrl + right-click on a chest in your bag shows its possible contents with their chances.

NPC dialogue

Dialogue appears on a wide panel at the bottom of the screen, with numbered answers. Space = continue, 1–9 = answer, Esc or the X button = close. When a menu has more than eight answers, a paging row appears at the bottom (Back · page number · Next), with Cancel always visible; you can also page with the left / right arrow keys.

Death screen

When you fall, the screen darkens and the "You died" panel shows what killed you and the experience loss that comes with dying. Two buttons bring you back: Here or In town – each with a countdown showing when it becomes available. More: Death and Revival.

Photo mode and screenshots

  • F11 – photo mode: the whole interface and all names disappear; move the camera with the numeric keypad, and Numpad 5 starts a slow orbit. F11 or Esc restores everything.
  • Print Screen – screenshot, in photo mode too.
